About Manganese

Manganese is an essential steelmaking element — virtually all steel contains manganese to improve strength and hardness. It is also an important battery cathode material for emerging EV chemistries.

Common Grades & Types
Mn Ore 44% (CIF China)
Standard seaborne manganese ore benchmark.
High Carbon FeMn (HC FeMn)
Ferromanganese alloy (75–80% Mn), most common steelmaking additive.
Silicomanganese (SiMn)
Alloy of Mn, Si, and Fe. Used in steel deoxidation.
Electrolytic Manganese Metal (EMM)
Very high purity (99.7%+), used in specialty alloys and batteries.
