Common Grades & Types
HMS 1 (ISRI 200)
Wrought iron and steel scrap, ½ inch and over in thickness. Maximum length 5 feet.
HMS 2 (ISRI 201)
Same as HMS 1 but includes thinner material, minimum ¼ inch.
HMS 1&2 (80:20)
Standard international trade blend: 80% HMS 1, 20% HMS 2.
HMS 1&2 (75:25)
Slightly higher proportion of HMS 2, common in Asian trades.
