Osaka Titanium lowers titanium prices by 25%

Osaka Titanium Technologies Co., the world’s second-largest producer of the metal, agreed to cut prices for domestic customers by as much as 25 percent after demand from plant builders fell.

The company cut prices by between 15 percent and 25 percent for the year from April 1, Osaka Titanium President Shozo Nishizawa said in an interview, without saying what it charges. Sumitomo Metal Industries Ltd. and Kobe Steel Ltd. are shareholders and customers of the company, based in Amagasaki, southwestern Japan.
