Norilsk Nickel ordered an Arctic-class tanker from the German company Nordic Yards Holding, the miner said in a statement Monday.
Norilsk Nickel plans to buy the tanker, which is to be delivered by the end of September 2011, for 100 million euros ($135 million), the statement said. The tanker will supply fuel and lubricants to Dudinka, an administrative center of Taimyr Peninsula, and gas condensate from the Pelyatkinsky gas field on Tamyr to the continent.

By-product metals of MMC Norilsk Nickel include gold, silver, iridium, osmium, selenium, ruthenium and tellurium.
