Non-ferrous rolled metals output grew in Russia in November of current year, according to the State Statistics Service.
Thus, rolled aluminium output in November 2009 grew by 11.1 % comparing to October, rolled copper – by 12.2 %, rolled titanium – by 26.9 %.
Metallic molybdenum output in Russian grew as well. Metallic tungsten output grew by 72.2 %, lead – by 7.7 %, sponge titanium – by 7.5 %, and magnum and its alloys – by 12.2 %.
Nevertheless, zinc output fell by 4.2 %, refined copper – by 16.5 %, rolled bronze – by 19.3 %, rolled brass – by 5.8 %, nickel – by 6.8 %, cobalt – by 10%, and primary aluminium – by 8.7%.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia announced earlier that non-ferrous metals consumption in Russia will grow substantially by 2011. It is assumed that aluminium consumption in Russia by 2011 will increase by 25% comparing with 2007, zinc – by 6%, nickel – by 21.4%, and rolled titanium – by 33.4%.
