Domestic magnesium demand improved slightly in April but most of the market attention is geared toward renegotiating contracts and delaying deliveries, with essentially no interest in placing new orders until the fall, market participants said.
"From a magnesium (demand) standpoint, (the past two months) were certainly better than January and February, but nothing to get excited about—we're still in the doldrums," said a source at a magnesium producer.
