China minor metals prices tumble on weak demand

Prices of minor metals in eastern China fell sharply on the week, with high-quality selenium down more than 30 percent, as weak demand forced producers to cut prices, analysts and traders said on Friday.

The price of selenium, the minor metal used to help harden stainless steel, have fallen to as low as 350 yuan per kilogram, more than halved from a year ago.
