Central African Mining & Exploration:

* Acquires copper & cobalt assets in the drc for $85 million in shares

* Has agreed to acquire a 50% interest in Societe Miniere of Kabolela and Kipese Sprl, a joint venture company with significant copper and cobalt assets in the Democratic Republic of Congo ('DRC').

* The consideration for the acquisition is $85 million and will be satisfied by the allotment of 231 million new CAMEC shares to the vendor.

* The remaining 50% of SMKK is held by Gecamines, the DRC state owned mining company. – Thomson Financial
