Dundee Corp., a Toronto-based merchant banker and investment company, says it has acquired majority control of Odyssey Resources Ltd., a Toronto junior developing projects in Morroco and Turkey.

Dundee said Tuesday its wholly owned unit Dundee Resources had bought another 10 million common shares of Odyssey at 25 cents each.

Following the financing, Dundee owns 11.4 million common shares and 175,000 common share purchase warrants, or about 53.3 per cent of Odyssey if all warrants are converted.

Odyssey, which trades on the TSX Venture Exchange, is developing a copper-silver project in Morroco and a gold prospect in Turkey.

In trading on the TSX Venture Exchange, Odyssey shares rose two cents to 15 cents, a gain of 15.4 per cent. – Press Release
