JSC Uralelektromed produced 204,995 thousand tones of copper cathodes for the first seven months of 2005, up 8.3 percent from the same period last year.
For an accounting period, the enterprise produced 17.61 thousand tones of copper sulfate, up 8 percent, 18.1 tones of tellurium, an increase of 19.1 percent, 809 tones of sulfuric nickel (+16.7 percent), 151 tones of sintered bodies (+54.4 percent). The precious metal output raised 28 percent versus the same period a year ago.
Uralelektromed is a parent enterpise of UGMK since 1999. UGMK controls about 40 percent of Russian cathode copper and over the half of the European market of copper powders. – AK&M
