Mountain Boy Minerals Ltd and Pinnacle Mines Ltd announce that recently drilled holes on the Silver Coin project continue to extend the mineralization on the main silicified and mineralized breccia zone that includes the Kansas zone. The reported drill holes are within the Kansas claim located along the south end of the known main breccia zone, in an area where the mineralization is blind. Mountain Boy and Pinnacle can earn up to a 70 per cent interest in the Kansas claim from Tenajon Resources.
DDH 2005- 45, 46 and 47 were drilled on the Kansas claim along strike of the main mineralized breccia zone. Drilling has shown that this main breccia zone is up to 50 meters in width with a northerly strike and dip to the west.
DDH 2005 – 45 at minus 45 degrees had one intersection of 33.44 metres grading 3.03 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold (see table below). DDH 2005 – 46 at minus 60 degrees had one intersection of 3.05 metres grading 56.6 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold (see table below) and DDH 2005 – 47 at minus 60 degrees had one intersection of 38.72 metres grading 1.83 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold (see table below).
DDH 2005 – 45 was drilled on the Kansas claim from the same setup as DDH 2005 – 44. (see news in Stockwatch dated June 15, 2005). DDH 2005 – 46 was collared 75 metres south of the location of DDH 2005 – 44 and 45. DDH 2005 – 47 was collared 50 metres south of DDH 2005 – 44 and 45 and 25 metres north of DDH 2005 – 46.
These drill holes extend the mineralization a further 75 meters south along the projected main breccia zone that includes the Kansas zone. Mountain Boy Minerals and Pinnacle Mines are now drilling the Big Missouri claim (part of the Silver Coin group of claims), 75 metres north of DDH 2004 37 and 38.
Drilling is continuing on 50 to 75 metre centres along the projected strike of the main breccia zone. Assays are pending for DDH-2005-48 through 2005-50. Trenching and additional surface work is also being completed on numerous other zones in the mineral corridor. Based on trenching to date the zone appears to have a minimum strike length of 1.6 kilometers and a vertical height of 270 meters.
Mineralization in the Perserverance zone and other mineralized structures at the Silver Coin is consistent with the two main types of mineralization at the nearby, and former producing Silbak-Premier mine, which produced 4.7 million tones that yielded approximately 1.8 million ounces gold, 41 million ounces silver, 4.2 million pounds copper, 62 million pounds lead and 20 million pounds zinc.
Trenching has also extended the Perseverance zone a further 500 meters to the northwest of the 2004 work (from the Big Missouri claim on to the Silver Coin 10 claim). Where exposed, the zone consists of heavily mineralized, silicified and brecciated trachyte. It carries massive pyrite and sphalerite stringers with minor amounts of galena and chalcopyrite over an exposed width of 15 metres. Sulfide content of the zone is approximately 15 to 20 per cent.
Assay results from drill holes are released when received from Assayers Canada and the assay data has been through internal validation of quality assurance and quality control. Pinnacle Mines has established a sampling and assay control program with blind insertion of assay standards; noting that there is also an internal quality control and quality assurance program in place at Assayers Canada that includes blanks, duplicates and standards.
E. Kruchkowski, P. Geo, a qualified person under the National Instrument 43-101, is in charge of the exploration programs on behalf of the companies. Drill core and trench samples are assayed at Assayers Canada of Vancouver B.C.
Mountain Boy Minerals Ltd is a Canadian based mineral exploration company whose activities are in the Stewart and McKenzie area of BC. It is actively exploring for gold-silver-base metals on the Silver Coin project, silver-base metals on their American Creek properties, porphyry molybdenum in the Stewart and McKenzie areas and copper-nickel-platinum group metals in the McKenzie area.
