RBC Capital raises price target on Potash Corp. by $15

Saturday March 17 – FP Trading Desk submits: A tighter than expected market for nitrogen fertilizers, as well as expectations that this situation will continue into 2008 due to higher levels of biofuel production, has led RBC Capital Markets to revise its earnings per share estimates for Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc. (NYSE: POT)

While RBC's EPS number for 2007 climbs to US$7.08 from US$6.82, earnings are expected to rise to US$9.65 in 2008, up from a previous estimate of US$9.25.

The firm's price target on Potash shares has been raised to US$180 from US$165.

Potash producers are seeing strong price gains in both Southeast Asia and South America, RBC analyst Fai Lee said in a note to clients, adding that prices in Brazil are up US$50, while climbing US$25 in Southeast Asia. – SeekingAlpha
